Drake’s legal battle with Universal Music Group has intensified, with new court filings revealing the extent to which the rapper’s legal team is seeking access to internal UMG documents. They include

In the [UMG defamation lawsuit](https://www.forgedbytime.com/post/drake-once-again-sues-label-for-defamation-815?perspective=Kendrick+Lamar) Drake is now asking for Kendrick's full contract to prove that UMG had the power to block "[Not Like Us](https://www.forgedbytime.com/post/kendrick-lamar-drops-not-like-us-585?perspective=Kendrick+Lamar)" from releasing. They are also seeking documents from the top executives at UMG to see if they were financially incentivized. 

They also reportedly requested documents regarding allegations of domestic violence by Kendrick Lamar, as well as all documents detailing Dave Free's relationship with Lamar and his children.
