Israel accepts a US Proposal with Steve Witkoff for a temporary ceasefire in Gaza. Hamas says this does not meet their demands of permanently ending the war, Israel withdrawal, and an end to death and famine, though they say they will "study the proposal."

The proposal includes a 60 day pause in fighting, 10 living Israeli hostages and a number of bodies released by Hamas, 1100 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel, and increased humanitarian aid.
