Israel and Hamas Agree To Ceasefire Deal Set To Begin January 19

Israel and Hamas agree to a ceasefire and hostage deal to begin on Sunday, January 19. The first phase will be 6 weeks, Hamas will release 33 hostages, Israel will release Palestinian prisoners, withdraw from populated areas in Gaza, return displaced Palestinians, and increase humanitarian aid. Further phases are planned to involve more hostage releases and further withdrawment from Gaza.

Throughout the first phase in total 33 hostages and 1900 Palestinian prisoners will be released.^[1]
