Israel Kills Yahya Sinwar

An Israel patrol found and killed Yahya Sinwar during a chance encounter. During the attack Sinwar fled into a building where he was then located by a drone, and then killed by a tank shell, it was only later found out that the person they killed was Sinwar. Rumors that he was heavily guarded and used hostages as human shields turned out to not be true since he was found with a small group of people and no hostages.

Basem Naim, a member of Hamas's political bureau, said that "Israel believes that killing our leaders means the end of our movement and the struggle of the Palestinian people," and then said that Hamas as a movement could not be stopped.

Footage of his last moments would later be released.
