This song is about Lucy, short for Lucifer, trying to have Kendrick sell his soul by tempting him with fame and fortune. While in this song his talks to the devil later in the album on How Much Does A Dollar Cost he talks to god.

Kendrick explains this song in an MTV interview. He says that this is one of his favorite tracks because instead of acting like evil energy exists he is actually talking about it head on. He sees evil energy everywhere especially at places like the after party whether it's alcohol, women, or other temptations.
