The IDF Says They Found The Body Of Deceased Hostage Ilan Weiss

Israel Katz also made an announcement: "In a heroic operation led by the IDF together with the Shin Bet, the body of the late Ilan Weiss, a resident of Kibbutz Be'eri who was murdered and kidnapped by Hamas murderers on October 7, was returned to Israel, as well as the remains of another abductee whose name has not yet been released.

The late Ilan Weiss was the deputy head of the local emergency team in Be'eri who heroically led the containment battle in the kibbutz and prevented a greater disaster, alongside other heroes.

On behalf of the entire security establishment, I send my deepest condolences to his family.

I would like to express my deep appreciation to our heroic fighters who are risking their lives day and night to return all the abductees - both the living and the dead.

We will not rest or be silent until everyone returns home - this is the main goal of the upcoming maneuver.
