According to Israeli and US officials, Donald Trump doesn't oppose Netanyahu's possible plan for a military occupation of Gaza but will not support the territory's annexation. The officials added that Netanyahu believes military occupation is the only way to dismantle Hamas, claiming the group isn't interested in a ceasefire after Israel and the US backed out of a deal over what they considered excessive demands.
