This marks the first appearance Donald Trump has had on CNN since 2016 and happened a day after he was [found liable in the case against E. Jean Carroll](https://www.forgedbytime.com/post/trump-found-liable-for-battery-and-defamation-against-e-jean-carroll-1391). In this town hall he talked about how the 2020 election was rigged. In regards to the [attack on the Capitol](https://www.forgedbytime.com/post/january-6-us-capitol-attack-1369), Trump said that he authorized and mobilized the National Guard, he also said that Nancy Pelosi was in charge of security.
